Who We Are
Track Ukraine is a volunteer-run organization that documents the record of politicians in congress and those running office.
Voters, campaign volunteers, and donors, all deserve to know exactly where candidates stand on the most deadly war currently raging on earth, alongside the largest active internationally recognized occupation of territory on earth.
This is why transparency is a key goal of the organization: tracking politicians' voting record, statements on the invasion, or even lack thereof. All so those who believe in the American value that every people has the right to rule themselves can make informed decisions.
Track Ukraine also connects current and prospective legislators with those who have experienced the effects of the invasion firsthand: the experience of being displaced, occupied, having their home bombed, dealing personally with the loss inherent in war, and seeing their culture targeted for erasure.
Understanding these realities is necessary for those who will legislate the foreign policy of the most militarily and geo-politically powerful country on the planet. Their votes in Washington have power, and going on 5 years of the full-scale invasion, there is no reason to be shy about the need for action as the false promise of a "24 hour peace" fade into distant memory.
The same country that made Kyiv give up its atomic weapons arsenal for its own security, in return for the assurance of sovereignty and security from the very state that harnessed the atom, cannot forget its commitments which lives depend upon.
The reality of occupation, the promises the U.S. made to the people of Ukraine, and the heavy proliferation of Russian war crimes should be front and center in discourse around the war. It's our job to make sure that's the case.
